Scottsdalearizonanews.com has examined each of the 2008 Arizona AAA Five Diamond Awards winners restaurant inspections. The restaurant inspections of the valleys top resorts are very shocking. Do note: The Phoenician results figures may include the The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician. Maricopa County records show just The Phoenician and no records or data from the Canyon Suites. The list below will include the valleys top resorts major restaurant violations, gold awards, silver awards, and the total of no awards.
Maricopa County Environmental Health Division issues permits to and inspects food establishments, public accommodations, school grounds and pet shops, as well as public and semi-public swimming pools.
Inspectors from Maricopa County are out checking up on all the restaurants to make sure that they are complying with health regulations.
A food establishment will be issued an Award Certificate showing the inspection results compared to other businesses in the same permit class.
